When you later upgrade your DVR, I highly recommend our iDVR-PRO surveillance DVRs. Installers hold the joystick in one direction to switch the video mode.

You simply switch the video mode from analog (CVBS) to 1080p AHD or 1080p HD-TVI mode using the small joystick that is attached to the video cable of the camera. The changeable video mode means that you can later upgrade to a high definition DVR and your cameras will still work (in 1080p HD resolution).

The best thing about our hybrid security cameras is that in addition to supporting the standard analog CCTV format (960H) that works with your existing Zmodo DVR, they also support three of the most popular 1080p HD surveillance formats – AHD, HD-TVI, and HD-CVI. You can use any of our hybrid CCTV cameras with your existing Zmodo DVR because they support 960H analog video format. You can use 960H or D1 resolution analog cameras. That is why the AHD cameras that you purchases will not work with it. Your Zmodo ZMD-DD-SAN8 DVR only works with analog CCTV cameras. This is the recommendation I gave to the customer. Honestly I am not sure about camera types, video connections, and compatibility. I now believe that these new HD cameras are not compatible because they are AHD format and my existing DVR is 960H.

The replacement cameras where 720p AHD format. I attempted to purchase a 4-pack of replacement Zmodo cameras but when they arrived the new cameras did not work although the BNC plugs are compatible. I hooked the seemingly broken camera up to the location where the other camera had just been working and it did not work (no red power light came on) so I’m assuming the camera just died after probably 10 years and possibly water as it’s mounted near a gutter. I took another camera from somewhere else and plugged it in to the same cable and the other camera worked so I don’t think it’s a cable issue. Everything works except I had 1 camera stop working this week. I bought my house 3 years ago and the previous owner left me a Zmodo CCTV DVR model ZMD-DD-SAN8 with 8 CCTV cameras model ZMD-CBH-BUS23NM already hooked up. This is specifically what the customer asked. You can go ahead and log in and here is the DVR interface. What security cameras are compatible with a Zmodo 960H CCTV DVR? This is a question that I was recently asked by a customer. Give it a few seconds to load and then after that it will show the Web Service interface. Next you will get the Google Chrome Security Warning window, click on “Install” here. So click on the blue/yellow notification barĪnd then click on “Install this add-on for all users on this computer.

If you put your mouse there it says “Switch between IE and Chrome.” So when it’s on it is using Chrome natively when you click on it and it goes “Off” and it shuts down like this, it has now switched to Internet Explorer and now I can download the ActiveX controls from Google Chrome. I have a DVR now right here at my location so I’m going to put the IP address then hit “Enter.” Right now it’s not going to show anything. So what you have to do is this: Once you have this “Off” you can enter the IP of your DVR in the address box. This is very easy and very intuitive tool that will allow you to access your DVR from Chrome. So that’s the cool feature right there that you don’t have to mess around to access your DVR from Internet Explorer if you are a Google Chrome user like I am. So you see you can switch from Internet Explorer to Chrome within the same interface of Chrome. When it’s “On” that means it’s using Google Chrome and when it’s off it is using Internet Explorer. You will see this little icon right here: We’ll add the extension to Chrome right now it says “Chrome IE is now installed:” So click on it, then click on “Add to Chrome”

So we’re going to do a search for Internet Explorer Chrome or IE Chrome and under results you may have to scroll down to see this web site.Ĭlick on it and you’re gonna scroll down here and install this tool, it’s called “Chrome IE.” First you have to configure Internet Explorer and then you go to Google Chrome and install the emulator. You always have to change to Internet Explorer mode and allow the ActiveX controls to install or it’s not going to work. Now what we are going to do is go to Google Chrome. Then click “OK” then “Yes” and apply the changes.

Next, scroll down until you see “Download unsigned ActiveX controls” and set it up as “Prompt”
